Good spreadsheets. Keep it up!
good job, hope can work together in making something out of this life. and thank you for the free downloads.
Good work. I can see that you have been spending a lot of time developing the website lately. It is looking more professional by the day and so are the spreadsheets. Thanks for free downloads.
I bought spreadsheets for analysis and design of steel beams out of curiosity rather than need. I have to say that I was very pleased with the layout and ease of data input. I would be interested to see how the spreadsheets develop in the future.
Great website! Spreadsheets are simple and very easy to use. I have used the BS 8500:2005 bar schedule, and I must say that it's simply genius!
The spreadsheet of continuous beam analysis is really superb and very user friendly! Thanks.
The bar bending schedule spreadsheet needs a little bit of getting used to but it is very good. Thanks very much.
I have an application call Attribute Plus, creating Design Spreadsheet in AutoCAD, with AutoCAD block, using Attribute as variables, and write fomulas directly to the AcadBlockhttp://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=126650
very well designed spreadsheet, easy to use and gives a professional touch to reporting. keep it up!
Thanks for the BBS spreadsheet - works amazing. I love the shape code pop up window, fast and easy
CAN U GIVE US A FREE DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE - BBS IS 2502
@asdasd Unfortunately it is not envisaged to make the BBS to IS2502 free in the nearest future. However, as Britain to India ratio is around 10, I will offer 50% price reductions from time to time for this BBS - as done in the past. Note that despite the cost this spreadsheet undergoes a very large interest among Indian engineers. Thanks.
All credit to you Damian, the Bar Bending Schedule spreadsheet is great!, the feed back and help was also first class.
Thanks for your professional help with activating the two spreadsheets. The masonry wall panel spreadsheet is just what I needed - and most of all I didn't have to spend few houndred pounds for similar product from CADS - wall panel designer.
Damian, I have tried your masonry wall panel designer and it is very useful [and easy to use as all your spreadsheets!]. But I am missing one option - the spreadsheet should automaticaly check limiting wall dimensions. To ensure that table 8 from BS 5628 can be used.
Let me know once this is added and I will purchase a company license for it. Thanks, Stewart.
@Stewart L. Thank you for your comment, I am planning to include this check shortly.
Thank you for your interest in my spreadsheets.
I purchased the bending schedule spreadsheet and pile mat spreadsheet. My only comment regarding the first is the inability to set the titleblock on the first sheet and let it copy through to subsequent sheets when editing one for example.
All gredit to you Damian the Bar bending schedule spreadsheet is excellent!
Website and Help are also great.
I hope this Speadsheet is upgraded to the new European code.
@Chris. Thanks for a good word.
With regard to Eurocodes, as explained in our correspondence, the BS8666 was recently updated to suit EC 2 and as far as I know it is not planned to make a separate universal Eurocode with bar shapes.
Wonderful! thank you v much for sharing this. Saved a lot of time and effort.
Thank you again
The wall panel sheet is a very simple, very powerful spreadsheet and a much easier way of quickly checking panels, than wading through expensive software.
i am looking forward for you to construct spreadsheet for rebar cutting list for slabs (if none yet, i have not seen it in the lists). thank you.
Damian, I am using the piling platform spreadsheet. Great piece of kit and even better value for money. Thanks. I am now going to buy the BRE soakway software. thanks !
I am a self taught engineer and have been studying beam theory and eurocode for several years now. I want to thank you for your spreadsheets on beams, it is great, the graphs have help me to visualize and better understand the effects of forces on beams. Not to mention the amount of work and clarity. Pleas notify me when your continuous beam has all the modification factors for eurocode, I will certainly be purchasing more and all updates.
A great service, got my spreadsheet up and running in no time and saved me valuable time. Money well spent. Thanks.
أنا أحتاج نسخة لأدرس ممكن
I downloaded the soakaway calculation spreadsheet, and to be honest was not expecting much. Considering other software is priced at £450!
However - I am delighted, the software does all that I want, when the planners aked for a 1 in 30 year storm event instead of the normal 10 year I did panic a bit. But looking closely at the software it even gives you the ability to update this - 10 out of 10 !!!
I have used your predecessor's Steel Beam Design spreadsheet for many years and have found it to be invaluable. I have recently purchased your spreadsheets for Attenuation Tank and Soakaway Design and am delighted with them. They are so easy to understand and use. I much prefer them to the overpriced and over-complicated software packages available elsewhere.
Thanks Bob, I am very pleased to read this!
I offer a service to convert PDF bar bending schedules to XLS (spreadsheet) format. This is quicker and most importantly more accurate than typing them in manually.
Hope this is of use to someone.
That sounds interesting Roger. But if one has a PDF file then someone has XLS file to which, in most cases, one can have access. Just ask a contractor or an engineer for XLS file or exported version if it is computer-locked like my spreadsheets.
As a follow up:
I have extended functionality of my Bar Bending Schedule Spreadsheet to BS 8666, it is now possible to easily (with a single button click) export schedules to a separate Excel file. The file is editable and unprotected and can be sent a Client instead of a PDF.
I have bought several spreadsheets and find them extremely useful, especially continuous beam analysis and rc beam design. I would like to thank you, Damian, for all the useful/precise work you are doing.
Thank you so much for your continued after sales support. I am really pleased with both this and the software.
The steel beam design does not consider torsion. Will you be updating the spreadsheet to include this?
Hi Darryl. Including calculations and user input for torsional loads would make this spreadsheet too complex for regular use. Therefore a seperate spreadsheet would be required, for example where user inputs max moment, shear and torsional loads. Unfortunately I have no immediate planes to create such a spreadsheet. Thanks for your enquiry.
buenas tardes tendría ud la hoja de calculo BS 8666 en español y cual seria su costo,de antemano gracias

Hi Carlos, currently I do not have the BS 8666 spreadsheet in Spanish. But feel free to contact me with the translation of all text and I will create a Spanish version of the spreadsheet.
Hi. Do you have Strap footing Design spreadsheets? Preferably with axial load, Mxx or Myy, ex or ey entries...
Hi Eunice, have a look at this spreadsheet: http://www.yourspreadsheets.co.uk/rc-strip-footing-design-to-bs-8110.html
Hi just downloaded the attendance tracker, and I'm well impressed. I scaled the internet trying to find one that started in April. But have now stumbled on yours so thanks its awesome. Just what I needed, so keep the good work up. Thanks
So having used the attendance tracker for a few days, I think its pretty awesome, but I have just one niggle.
On the overview it shows annual allowance, annual leave taken etc, maybe one more column that actually shows what annual leave is remaining.
Jan, that information is available in the Detailed View. It is in the 'Statistics for this year' under 'Total allowance / not taken'.
